Jess Monahan, Ph.D.

Education

Jess Monahan earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Connecticut in 2020. She studied with Drs. Allison Lombardi and Joseph Madaus, focusing on College and Career Readiness and transition services for students with disabilities.

Employment

She is a proud Blue Hen working as the Research Manager at an autism support program at the University of Delaware. Before starting her Ph.D. program, Jess worked as a public school teacher in Connecticut for five years. She established a transition program for students with disabilities and provided push in support for students with Learning Disabilities, ADHD, and autism in the general education setting.

Personal

Jess lives in Newark, DE. She has three children who keep her on her toes. She enjoys working out, geocaching around Delaware with her two older boys, and baking vegan treats!
