Jess Monahan, Ph.D.


Jess Monahan earned her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the University of Connecticut in 2020. She studied with Drs. Allison Lombardi and Joseph Madaus, focusing on College and Career Readiness and transition services for students with disabilities.


She is currently a proud Blue Hen working as the Research Manager on a grant funded by JP Morgan Chase supporting autistic college students. Prior to entering her Ph.D. program, Jess worked as a public school teacher in Connecticut for five years. She established a transition program for students with disabilities and provided push in support for students with Learning Disabilities, ADHD, and autism in the general education setting.


Jess lives in Newark, DE with her husband and three children. She enjoys racing in triathlon, geocaching around Delaware with her two older boys, and baking vegan treats!
